The Best Twelve Years

Last night we went out to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. The weather was perfect, the food delicious, and the company even better. We went into downtown Boston and walked around the Public Gardens for a bit. I had no idea how many beautiful flowers and trees there were there. It's really quite amazing to see such vibrant color in the middle of the city. Then we went to Davio's for dinner. The restraunt was amazing. I had tomatoes and mozzerella, a fabulous pasta dish with shrimp, peppers, and tomatoes, and a creme brulee type dessert. Rick ordered the filet mignon which was super tasty. The waiter was great. When he was bringing out my dessert, he came out with tiramisu as well. Our friend who works at the Four Seasons (we had stopped by earlier to say hello) had called over and sent us that dessert. It was so nice. Over the course of the evening, we had fun remembering and recalling numerous events that occured during the past twelve years. From our honeymoon in Tahoe, to the apartment at GCTS, buying a house, having children, totalling a car, mulitple lay-offs, we were able to see God's hand with us. It's quite amazing to see how we have evolved as a couple and how we really aren't complete unless we are together. So, thank you Rick, for being my best friend.

Martha's Vineyard

So, I am finally getting around to blogging about our trip to Martha's Vineyard! We were able to go while Memaw, Papaw, and Uncle Boyd were visiting. Donna was gracious enough to share her vacation with all of us. We went to South Beach, Aquinnah, Edgartown, and to the resort area's clubhouse area. We had a really great time and Isabella turned one while we were there. Here are some pictures of our trip.

There was a hot rod and old car show in Oak Bluffs. There were some really neat cars. I think that was Papaw's favorite part of the trip.

I think this picture at Aquinnah is becoming a tradition.

Bella's favorite toy was the Captain America action figure. She really had a hold on him!

This is a view of Katama from the Edgartown lighthouse.

Here is Uncle Boyd and Memaw at the Edgartown lighthouse. The lighthouse has only be open to the public for a year or two.

Isaac loved playing games with Papaw. Here they are playing with Isaac's new Cars dominos.

What do you think Isabella is telling Uncle Boyd?

Isaac was being cool.

I really like this picture of Memaw and Papaw. What a handsome couple.
I tried to get a similar picture to one I had last year of their heads. This year, however, Isabella moved just a little bit more.

This one is my favorite of Isabella.

Here is a fun shot of Isabella enjoying her birthday cupcake. Thanks Auntie Donna!

We made s'mores with our friends one night and here is Isaac and Bella on the bench.

And, here is a short video of Bella on her birthday.
