After having my hair long since Isaac was born, I decided I was tired of the up keep of long hair. So, I decided in the spring to grow my hair long enough to donate. On Thursday, I cut off 9" and am donating it to the Pantene Beautiful Lenghts program. This program takes donated hair and uses it to make wigs for women who are struggling with cancer. I have been ultra fortunate that no one super close to me has battled cancer, but I know friends & family whose friends & family have struggled with this terrible disease. If I ever get cancer, I would still want stylish hair.I really like my new hair cut. It is super easy and it only took 5-6 minutes to blow dry instead of 20-30 minutes with my long hair. And I like to see all the suprised faces when people see my new hair cut. The first picture is me holding my hair that will be donated and the second picture is just me with my new do.

What an adorable haircut! It's very youthful looking!
You look great!! I think I can still braid that length :-)
Wendy, it is so cute! Love it! I must think the way Morgan does who posted about the braid. My first thought was, "OH, she can still make a ponytail!" LOL! Maybe that's because I'm in Texas where it's still hotter than blazes! You look simply marvelous.
Yay! So cute! And what a great cause. I've donated my hair twice, but it is too . . .gray now! :) and I look silly with long hair. And yes, you can make a ponytail still!
Just thought I'd tell you again, I love your hair cut. You look great and I love that you donated your hair. My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor.
I love it, Wendy, and such a wonderful cause too!
Speaking as one who has only had short hair for many years, you will be glad you did!
We have the same blog background, it is pretty, isn't it?
Awesome haircut! I would love to donate - I just need to stop dying my hair for awhile!! I think my girls want to do it too! Such an awesome cause!
